Stephan Voit, E-Mobility and IT Systems Partner

Stephan is an expert in engineering, computer science, and cybersecurity, specializing in electromobility, process optimization, controlling, and data analysis. He has extensive experience in electricity and gas networks, coordinating business processes, IT infrastructure, and document management and workflow systems.

Stephan has over 30 years of consulting experience, working with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and RWE Consulting on process optimization, wholesale, distribution logistics, and controling, as well as international standardization of communication protocols (ISO, IEC, DKE), market roles, network integration, calibration law, smart meters and German Smart Meter Gateway, eRoaming as well as (inter)national e-mobility projects. From 2016 to 2018, he was the Vice President of Technology for a California based e-mobility joint venture, coordinating the preparation of the market entry in the USA.

As the chairman of international committees at ISO, IEC and DKE, among others, Stephan has decisively shaped the standardization of e-mobility. His expertise in pioneering research projects such as eMobility Berlin, PlanGridEV, Green eMotion, DELTA, and e-Dash, especially in combination with his extensive knowledge of utilities, communication protocols, IT systems, software engineering, data warehouse / OLAP, and business processes, make him THE expert for calibration law (German “Eichrecht”) and a leader in the development of the German charging infrastructure.

Stephan joined E:E Consulting as Active Partner for e-mobility, IT systems, coordinating the Business Consulting Services, with a focus on the energy industry and medium-sized enterprises. Together with strategic partners and colleagues, Stephan has deployed successful projects, that incorporate advanced technology and extensive research, and owned their implementation, from ideation to execution.

Stephan has a diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Operational Research, Economics, and Business Administration, from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT. He is also a experienced project manager (PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner in 2005), Enterprise Architect, and Business process modeling expert. He is a member of  VDI – The Association of German Engineers – and GI – German Informatics Society.

Stephan lives in Bochum, Germany, and is father of two daughters. He is a passionate badminton player, and a fighter, who loves a strategic win. Together with his family, Stephan enjoys hiking and skiing in the Alps. He is a loyal and balanced person, a wonderful colleague and very detailed and focus professional.
